I had expected this to be a little dull and dry but in fact it was neither. While he does not patronize the general reader it provides a good overview of the prehistory of the area covering the main trends while not getting bogged down in too many details. It is difficult to think of a better introduction to pre-Roman Britain, and never Romanised Ireland.Product details
